BRIAN KUNKEL

President & CEO  

As co-founder, President and CEO of Bri-Bet Security Solutions, Mr. Kunkel brings 35 years of law enforcement and security training, knowledge and experience to Bri-Bet.

He has worked for various federal, state and local agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Department of Defense (DOD), the Maryland Commission on Human Relations (MCHR) and the Weston, West Virginia Police Department (WPD).  

Mr. Kunkel served as a Senior Administrator, Training Instructor, Field Training Officer, Media Relations Officer and K-9 Team Administrator and Handler. He retired from the Fort Meade Police Department (Maryland) as Chief of Police in 2021.

Mr. Kunkel is a recognized expert in Entertainment Security, Industrial Security, Residential and Commercial Security, Government Security and Private Security.

He has authored many articles for media enterprises including: “Smart CEO,” Cannabis Business Times”, “FOP Journal and “Corridor Inc.”  He was featured in the Baltimore Business Journal.

Mr. Kunkel is a graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), the West Virginia State Police Academy and a Department of Defense Police Academy.

Mr. Kunkel is a member of many organizations including Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA), Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), Industrial Security Awareness Council of Central Maryland (ISAC-MD), International Association of Chief’s of Police (IACP), Investigative and Security Professionals for Legal Action (ISPLA), Maryland Chief’s of Police Association, Maryland Investigators and Security Association (MISA), Maryland Law Enforcement Officers’ Association (MLEO) and the Society of Industrial Security Professionals (NCMS).  

BETH KUNKEL

Executive Vice President 

Ms. Kunkel is the majority owner of Bri-Bet.  Ms. Kunkel’s duties with Bri-Bet have been extensive. She served as the Vice President of Operations and the Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Ms. Kunkel initiated the financial structure and accounting functions of Bri-Bet including invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable payroll and banking. She also oversees all administrative and operational affairs. She chairs development of company vision and strategic plans.

In addition to her work with Bri-Bet, Ms. Kunkel spent 23 years working in a senior administrative role in the Investment Groups at Stifel Nicolaus and Legg Mason in Baltimore. 

Nicole Besnoska

Executive Assistant

Nicole Besnoska is the Executive Assistant to Bri-Bet CEO Brian Kunkel. She has an extensive clerical and administrative background primarily in the hospitality and catering industries.  She also currently does everything but the heavy lifting supporting family-owned and children operated seafood business “Second Sons Live Local Crabs.”

Prior to coming to Bri-Bet, Nicole coordinated wedding sales and supervised wholesale operations at a very popular Baltimore area bakery.

Her client facing skills are outstanding evidenced through her experience meeting with clients, preparing designs, providing quotes and scheduling tasting options.

Susie KINSLEY

Hiring Specialist

Mrs. Kinsley is a Hiring Specialist for Bri-Bet Security Solutions. She has 37 years of Investigative Analysis, Executive Staff Officer, Human Resource and Computer Science experience from the Department of Defense. 

She researches and evaluates candidate employees and assists with the onboarding process.  She holds a B.A. degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. 

JEFF LEGEER

JEFF LEGEER

Operations, Marketing and Communications 

Mr. Legeer brings a wealth of management, strategic marketing and communications experience to Bri-Bet. He is a retired USAF Public Affairs Officer having served at numerous world-wide USAF bases.  His active duty Air Force years were spent at Andrews AFB Md., as a media relations specialist, editor and writer. As part of his dual career, Mr. Legeer was a state and local PAO for the Maryland National Guard.  He was activated for “Gulf 2: Global War on Terrorism”  He was an initial responder and directed USAF communications following the F-117 Nighthawk Stealth Fighter Crash in 1997. 

He was selected as the USAF Public Affairs Officer of the Year (1992 and 1998) and owns four Silver Anvils from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for excellence in public relations, media relations and writing and two national awards from the Society for Technical Communicators (STC) – for Government Programs.

Mr. Legeer’s 30-year civilian career includes public affairs and management positions at SAIC and Lockheed Martin. He has a B.S. in Corporate Communications from the University of Baltimore, an A.A.S. in Public Affairs from the Community College of the Air Force, and an A.A. in General Studies from the Community College of Baltimore County Essex.  He was also certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) in 2009. 

Aaron Burn

Director of Cannabis Security

Aaron arrived at a critical time just as the company was pursuing business opportunities with the newly legalized medical cannabis industry in Maryland.  Aaron presides over numerous contracts and is recognized as a “go to” for industry cannabis security needs.
 
Aaron joined Bri-Bet at a critical time as a corporate goal to desire intersected when changing laws in Maryland brought about medical sales and ultimately adult recreational sales of cannabis products at privately operated dispensaries in Maryland.


Aaron serves as our
Director of Cannabis Security.  He brings nearly a decade of private security, investigative, executive protection and firearms training experience to Bri-Bet.  He developed the State of Maryland’s most respected and sought-after Cannabis Security Program.

He is an expert marksman, a multi-disciplinary firearms instructor, security specialist, and an accomplished private detective.  

Prior to arriving at Bri-Bet, Aaron worked for many large-scale private security organizations and developed lesson plans for numerous firearms training academies in Maryland.

Mr. Burn’s professional experience extends into entrepreneurial ventures including designing, selling, and marketing fitness products in three countries as co-founder and President of C.A.B. Health Company.

Mark Polk

Mark Polk

Director of Training 

Mark has over 35 years in law enforcement.  

He retired as a Detective Sergeant from the Baltimore City Police Department and a Detective Sergeant from the Bowie Police Department.

While in Law Enforcement, Mark spent time in Patrol, Motorcycle squad, Vice and Narcotics Investigations, Training, Internal Affairs, Background Investigations for New Hires and SWAT to include completing the Maryland State Police SWAT school. 

Mark served as President for the Fraternal order of Police for Maryland Lodge #140 Bowie, Maryland.     

Mark is a certified instructor with the Maryland Police and Corrections Training Commission and has an excellent way of communicating in a classroom setting and teaching real life operations.  

KENDALL STONEHAM

Facility Security Officer (FSO

Ms. Stoneham is the Facility Security officer (FSO) for Bri-Bet Security Solutions. Ms. Stoneham is a former Special Agent with the FBI and continues to conduct background investigations for the Bureau. 

She has a Master’s degree from the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA.  She is a former Chairman of the I-270 ISAC Committee and a member of NCMS, ISAC-MD, InfraGuard and The Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI. 

H. Wray Kinsley

H. Wray Kinsley

Director of Emergency Preparedness and Operations

With four decades of Fire, EMS, Life Safety, Emergency Management and Continuation of Operation, Mr. Kinsley is a senior project manager and on-scene commander for Bri-Bet.

He is a retired Department of Army Deputy Fire Chief and held positions with the New Jersey Fire Service, Department of the Army (military and civilian). He held leadership positions at three federal military installations in the Baltimore Washington area.

He oversaw daily operations and assumed command during emergency situations and COOP planning.  Further, he ensured Life Safety and Building Code Compliance for several major projects to include the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research Facility in Silver Spring, the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda and several facilities in the Ft. Meade area. Mr. Kinsley also served on the Maryland State Fire Marshall’s Life Safety Subcommittee. 

Calvin Fields

Senior Manager

Calvin Fields is a senior manager with Bri-Bet focusing primarily on large events requiring an “all hands on deck” resourcing approach.  These events typically require between 30 and 80 Bri-Bet personnel dispersed over vast areas and sometimes with 24/7 security needs.

Ironically, Calvin is best known for keeping Bri-Bet rolling.  He manages and coordinates fleet management services for the company’s wheeled vehicle fleet.  This is no small feat as idling vehicles are prone to abnormal and frequent care to remain comfortable and reliable.  It helps that Calvin owns his own vehicle service center and is a tremendous asset to Bri-Bet.

Calvin is also active with the Baltimore County Police Department Honor Guard and Auxiliary. 

John Giganti

Senior Project Manager 

John’s career covers 30 years in emergency service in both the public and private sector.

John began his emergency service career as a Volunteer Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician with Montgomery County, Maryland. John served with the Baltimore City Police Department for 22 years, serving in many roles including Patrol Officer, Detective and rising to the rank of Sergeant. John served with many divisions of Investigation to include HIDTA, Homicide, Burglary and Warrant Apprehension Task Force, serving with the FBI, DEA, and US Marshals as a Task Force Officer.

John has worked in the private sector since 2017 and is an accomplished law enforcement professional of diverse law enforcement experience, supervisory skills, administrative and investigative expertise and he is OSHA certified.

Exceptional team leader with an outstanding work ethic. 

Tracy Brandenburg

Senior Project Manager

Tracy Brandenburg in a senior project manager for Bri-Bet lending leadership and skill to our many large scale events. His well-rounded professional skills were developed through 23 years as a paid firefighter and 38 years as a volunteer firefighter.

He is active in the community and was a Baltimore County Auxiliary police officer for 10 years.  He was also employed by the stadium security firm SAFE Management for 20 years as a field supervisor for the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles.  He worked the Super Bowl six times.

Tracy has served the country and Maryland with a four year stint in the Army National Guard and 24 years in the Maryland Air National Guard in Middle River, just a stone’s throw for Bri-Bet’s offices in White Marsh.
