BRIAN KUNKEL
Chief Executive Officer and President
As founder, Mr. Kunkel brings over 30 years of law enforcement and security training, knowledge and experience to Bri-Bet. He has worked for various federal, state and local agencies including the FBI, DOD, the Maryland Commission on Human Relations (MCHR) and the Weston, W. Va. Police Department.
Mr. Kunkel’s experience includes a variety of security industries including entertainment, retail, commercial, government and private security. Mr. Kunkel has served as an Administrator, Training Instructor, Field Training Officer, Media Relations Officer and K-9 Team Administrator and Handler.
Mr. Kunkel has written articles for various media enterprises including: Smart CEO, Cannabis Business Times, FOP Journal and Corridor Inc. He was featured in the Baltimore Business Journal.
Mr. Kunkel is a graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), the West Virginia State Police Academy and the DOD Police Academy. He is currently the Acting Chief of Police with a DOD law enforcement agency in Maryland.
Mr. Kunkel is a member of the following organizations: Federal Officers Coalition (FOC), Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), Industrial Security Awareness Council of Central Maryland (ISAC-MD), Investigative and Security Professionals for Legal Action (ISPLA), Maryland Investigators and Security Association (MISA), Society of Industrial Security Professionals (NCMS), Maryland Law Enforcement Officers’ Association (MLEO) and the Society of Industrial Security Professionals (NISP).
BETH KUNKEL
Executive Vice President
Ms. Kunkel is the majority owner of Bri-Bet. Ms. Kunkel’s
duties with Bri-Bet have been extensive. She served as the Vice
President of Operations and the Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Ms. Kunkel initiated the financial structure and accounting functions of Bri-Bet including invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable payroll and banking. She also oversees all administrative and operational affairs. She chairs development of company vision and strategic plans.
In addition to her work with Bri-Bet, Ms. Kunkel spent 23 years working in a senior administrative role in the Investment Groups at Stifel Nicolaus and Legg Mason in Baltimore.
JEFF LEGEER
Operations, Marketing & Communications
Mr. Legeer brings a wealth of management, strategic marketing and communications experience to Bri-Bet. He is a retired USAF Public Affairs Officer having served at numerous world-wide USAF bases. His active duty Air Force years were spent at Andrews AFB Md., as a media relations specialist, editor and writer. He worked in the Maryland Air National Guard public affairs office for 18 years retiring in 2004. He was selected as the USAF Public Affairs Officer of the Year (1992 and 1998) and owns four Silver Anvils from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for excellence in public relations, media relations and writing and two national awards from the Society for Technical Communicators (STC) – for Government Programs.
Mr. Legeer’s 30-year civilian career includes public affairs and management positions at SAIC and Lockheed Martin. He has a B.S. in Corporate Communications from the University of Baltimore, an A.A.S. in Public Affairs from the Community College of the Air Force, and an A.A. in General Studies from the Community College of Baltimore County Essex. He was also certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) in 2009.
John “Andy” Purdie
Operations and Contracts
Mr. Purdie has more than 30 years of Law Enforcement and Security experience. He is a retired Baltimore County Police Officer. During his career there, Mr.
Purdie was assigned to many positions within the department including: Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Administration, Selective Enforcement, Marine Patrol Officer and Helicopter Observer. Mr. Purdie continues his Law Enforcement activities as a Reserve Officer for the Maryland Natural Resources Police.
MIKE CAMPBELL
Manager, Maryland Operations and Senior Scheduler
Mr. Campbell manages scheduling requirements for all Bri-Bet
security accounts. He adroitly utilizes the resources of nearly 200 qualified and experienced security specialists to cover down all of our clients’ needs. It’s a fluid and dynamic challenge sometimes with no-notice emergent tasks. Mr. Campbell excels at developing an efficient scheduling program, enabling Security Solutions to streamline employee work hours and reduce employee overtime. Mr. Campbell graduated from Towson University in 2007 with a B.S. in Electronic Media and Film. Mr. Campbell is an avid hunter and fisherman and is a member of the Old Post Rifle and Pistol team.
Kendall Stoneham
Facility Security Officer (FSO)
Ms. Stoneham is the Facility Security officer (FSO) for Bri-Bet Security Solutions. Ms. Stoneham is a former Special Agent with the F.B.I. and continues to conduct background investigations for the Bureau. She has a Master’s degree from the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA. She is a former Chairman of the I-270 ISAC Committee and a member of NCMS, ISAC-MD, InfraGuard and The Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI.
RUSSELL BEATTY
Manager, Virginia Operations
Mr. Beatty brings more than 25 years of law enforcement, security and military training, knowledge and experience to Bri-Bet. He spent 20 years with the Arlington County
Sheriff’s Office retiring in 2017. During his law enforcement career, he served in every division of the agency, was a member of the Emergency Response Team (SERT), a firearms instructor, a field training officer and was a first responder to the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.
Mr. Beatty has attended nationally recognized executive protection training courses. His knowledge in the security field comes from years of providing personal security, security advances and coordinating travel logistics for clients in the entertainment industry, business executives and foreign royalty.
He also served in the U.S. Army and holds a bachelor’s degree in Justice Administration from George Mason University.
